Updates (It's Been A While)

Yes, I'm still alive. So much for rallying up to post regularly. Ugh, things have been so crazy busy.
Did I mention the agency director left at the end of October and I suddenly found myself interim director? Most of November was a huge whirlwind. But we have a new director and she's awesome and all fired up and I'm really excited. And some other things that have needed to happen for a while might be in motion. All in all, I think we're headed in a great direction.

On the fiber front, I FINISHED MY FIRST PAIR OF SOCKS!!! But they're not turning out for crap in pictures tonight so I'll wait until they look better. It only took me three unsuccessful attempts (and patterns) before succeeding. But I'm done! And they're cool! Sock knitting is so much better than I thought it would be!

And I got the sweetest package from my SP 9 Pal. It was the greatest Berroco Alpaca yarn and all the fixin's to start cabling and some yummy chocolate. Thanks Secret Pal!
This round has been so much fun.

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend- in leiu of a family affair we went snow skiing in Breckenridge, CO. It was beautiful and we went with friends we didn't know incredibly well and had a great time. Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving...
